When I close my eyes,
I see nothing but the darkest of night.
What appears, the oddest of lives,
Becomes known as the greatest of light.
The words that were spoken before,
No longer seem to matter anymore.
I believed what I did for a cover,
For the creation of new doors.
For the preparation of the impossible,
I’ve said I’m more than able.
My bet’s on the table;
Whatever is said, I’m more than capable.
Reality has killed me in my place,
With newer bricks, just in case.
It’s already begun, the slowing of my pace;
Next thing you know, I’ll be out of this race.
