Around my head, with nothing said,
The winter fall began;
Unwed, like wilting flowers in their bed,
I was alone in hand.
There I laid, in the pouring rain,
Waiting for you to come;
To take me away, into the day,
Where love and all was won.
The sky’s fire found, behind the clouds,
Plotted an inevitable fate;
Keeping me bound, without a sound,
By postponing our meeting date.
Just like the leaves, falling from the trees,
Were dwindling of their life,
My ability to see, when you weren’t with me,
Was like the darkness of the night.
