365 Days of Poetry — Day 9

Her chest rises and fall, ebbs and flows just like the sea.
Comatose to the world around her, only darkness she sees.
They say you witness marvelous visions between life and death,
But for her she only observes the nothing that settled her to rest.

Numbing phantoms overtake her limbs and beating heart;
Confused and disillusioned thoughts overwhelm and play their part.
Here she is alive, as lively as she’ll ever be, in a world of disarray;
Luckily for her she’ll is bound to this life, forced at hand to stay.
