365 Days of Poetry — Day 28

There she lived in a dim-lit room.
The wall in front of her duplicated her and her surroundings.
She could not escape this world if she tried.

Death and all its hallows began to loom.
Her breath left heavy and her heart left pounding.
All that was left for her was to silently hide.
