365 Days of Poetry — Day 46

In this land,
The great unknown,
You’ll find your debtors dead,
Now paid the seed then sown.

They thought they had escaped the price,
Set before their birth,
But now their bones are well dried out,
Skull and hands burned first.

The barren winds have made their home,
Built around the bones,
And scorching suns of deserts,
Now igniting all that’s known.
