365 Days of Poetry — Day 99

Science says that light is needed for life,
And yet, here I am: a blossom in the night.
They say that roots require depth,
And yet, here I am: shallow in death.

Science says that water is needed for life,
And yet, here I am: dry and standing in the night.
They say that blooms require company and rest,
And yet, here I am:  alone, awake, and nothing short of dead.

– Brittany Rose

I adore how other forms of art can influence and inspire each other. In this case, I was browsing though some art via Pinterest, and it all just came to me. I love — live for — moments like that, for it is so natural, and so — moving.

Anyway, I apologize for not posting yesterday; it was “World Poetry Day.” Unfortunately, I was stuck at school and doing homework, and then out to church, and then hanging out with friends until midnight. So, that day kind of slipped though my fingers. I had some cool ideas for blog posts, too! Next year, eh?

Well, I do wish you guys a happy Thursday (my favorite day of the week)! I hope that it is full of rest, beauty, and writing. Oh, and if you guys ever have any questions, comments, or suggestions, feel free to let me know!

Thank you for your continued support!
