365 Days of Poetry — Day 185

With salt-clogged eyes, she fled.
This wasn’t going to happen — not again.
Three deaths later and little girl raise,
She was not about to re-live her darkest days.

She wasn’t going to learn again;
She wasn’t going to let herself believe.
Her bones had already been broken,
And no one had to teach her how to bleed.
