“East Coast Insomnia” was actually a phrase that was coined at 3-something in the morning when I couldn’t sleep. It isn’t anything new for me to be the last one asleep in this house, and all of that time alone helps the creative juices flow. Quite honestly, the inspiration for most of my poems arise when I am left to my lonesome to think. So, because of my lack of sleep and overflow of inspiration, East Coast Insomnia was born.
